According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Clippers are in the process of finalizing preparations with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to host the 2026 All-Star Game in their new stadium.
Not only would the game take place at the Intuit Dome, which is still in the process of being constructed, but the All-Star festivities would also take place there.
In the year 2021, construction began on the Intuit Dome in the neighborhood of Inglewood, close to the location of SoFi Stadium and the Los Angeles Forum. This year, it is anticipated that the arena, which has a capacity of 18,000 seats, will be finished.
At the moment, the Clippers and the Lakers both play their games at the same venue, which is the Crypto.com Arena in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
The Clippers will have a home of their own at the Intuit Dome, which will allow them to put some space between themselves from their competitors in Los Angeles and further develop their own identity under the leadership of owner Steve Ballmer.
As of the 2024-25 season, the Clippers have begun selling season tickets at the Intuit Dome for the next sporting event. Under the leadership of Ballmer, the Inglewood complex, which includes SoFi Stadium, was referred to be the "entertainment capital of the world."
The National Basketball Association has scheduled the locations of its next three All-Star weekends, with Inglewood being selected as the host city in 2026.
Indiana will play home to this year's celebrations, which will be hosted by the Pacers. It has been decided that the Warriors will play host to the All-Star weekend in San Francisco in the year 2025.
