A Texas man is suing Walmart, claiming he may either have "unlimited free lifetime shopping" at any Walmart site or $100 million in damages.
Two handwritten complaints were submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas on Monday by Roderick Jackson of Waskom, Texas.
The corporate office of Walmart is located in Bentonville, Arkansas. The complaints don't elaborate on Jackson's legal motivations.
According to the allegations, Jackson's civil rights were violated "based on race/color" and there was "false pretense of shoplifting" at a store in Omaha, Nebraska, in March 2021.
Additionally, Jackson demands that Walmart cover all of his legal costs. He did not have legal representation when he filed the allegations, and he was unreachable at the telephone provided.
On Thursday, a Walmart representative declared that the company "does not tolerate discrimination of any kind."
"Mr. Jackson filed a lawsuit against our company in 2021, but it was dismissed. The claims he made in that action are very identical.
The company stated, "Once we have been properly served, we intend to defend the company against the allegations and will quickly ask the court to dismiss any claims that are without merit."
